A Fall

GeneralPosted by Susan Sun, January 28, 2018 21:59:32
On today's walk Joan [Taylor] fell when starting to cross a muddy field above Bradwell. She hurt her shoulder. We all went with her down to the road. She and John caught the bus to Sheffield and went straight to Royal Hallamshire Hospital. Joan has broken a bone in her upper arm, just below the socket. Joan and John were home by mid afternoon. Joan's arm is in a sling. She has to go to the fracture clinic at Northern General next Wednesday.

Walk Change

Walks 2015Posted by Susan Fri, June 05, 2015 10:17:02
Done Sunrise, Now for Sunset, Sunday, June 21st

Please be aware that there are changes to the above walk. The bus time is now 1520 and the start time is 1622. Sunset is at 2138. The last bus from Hope is at 2234. This means that anyone coming by bus will need a lift home from Hope. I will be taking my car to Hope, so that I can run some people home. If you hope to join me on the walk and particularly if you will need a lift home please get in touch as soon as possible [0114 2341914]. I am leaving Sheffield on Tuesday, June 9th to walk St. Cuthbert's Way.

PS This walk will be a little tight for time so breaks will have to be shortish and the pace fairly brisk along road and track sections.

October 5th Coach Ramble

Walks 2014Posted by Susan Fri, September 26, 2014 21:03:52
On the 5th we are off to Sutton Bank, North Yorkshire to walk the Hambleton Hills. Walk details are on the blog. There are still quite a few empty seats on the coach. If you are already booked on the coach do try and encourage a friend to come too.

There is a cafe at the Sutton Bank Visitors Centre. By the time we finish our walks they will probably only be selling tea/coffee and cakes.
