FixitPosted by Jan Sun, May 06, 2018 14:18:09
Our next job is by the river off Shorts Lane, Dore.

Go through Dore and take the Townhead Road which leads into Whitelow Lane, cross the river and take the left into Shorts Lane which is a dead end.
Park in the layby on the right opposite the footpath sign which leads down to the river.

We are improving the path to the left by using stones from the river.

Bring digging tools, shovels, stout gloves and plastic buckets.

Any queries phone my mobile.

See you there at 10 or if pos 9.45

I wonder did anyone take a good photo of finished job with skilled workers of the handrail job off Twentywell Lane.
I want to send a copy to Lavers with a thankyou for their generous donation of timber?
Please let me know. David Kayley had a good one but has unfortunately deleted it.
Thanks, Jan

Hi Fixiteers,
Here are the details of March FIXIT
Venue is Crosspool the corner of Long lane with steps leading down to Back Lane.
Parking no problem on Long Lane.
The job is to replace, re-set the steps which are an accident waiting to happen.
There is some cutback work, and some drystone walling work.
Tony will arrange for all the materials we need to be there.
This is quite a big job, so if anyone wants to join the group just for this one that would be good. Gordon? As David Hogg is away.
Bring gloves, cutting tools, spades, plastic buckets for carrying hardcore, the drill, hammers and anything else you think may be useful.
See you there at 9.45/ 10 am
Thanks all for the last job I missed. Report came back that you did good.
Pass the word please that extra help would be welcome!

February 5th FIXIT

FixitPosted by Jan Tue, January 09, 2018 13:28:38
I hope that you enjoyed the January break as we have quite a big job on February Monday 5th

We are improving an existing path. It needs a few more steps, a considerable length of handrail, some levelling and some surfacing.

The site is off Twentywell Lane, which is just beyond Dore Station. Go over the bridge after the station and block of flats onto Twentywell Lane. Imediately over the bridge turn right. There is a gate which we will arange to be unlocked, but there is some parking before the gate. 9.45 if you can make it.

We will need the fixit drill and David's drill. Saws hammers, spades&shovels, plastic buckets for transporting hardcore. Dreadlocks Dave will bring special tools

Arnold Laver have donated all the timber for this job.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
